About Cook County Traffic Safety School

National Safety Council, the leader in driver safety courses, has partnered with the Circuit Court of Cook County to provide Traffic Safety School.

Whether you have received a traffic ticket or are ordered by a judge, NSC offers the courses that will help you improve your driving skills and meet the needs of your court supervision. Classes are available in English, Spanish and Polish.

Returning students may log back in here if you have received your access code confirmation, created a login ID and password and started the online instruction and are returning to continue progress.

You may reschedule your Traffic Safety School class at no charge within the grace period, which ends 14 days prior to your scheduled class date. After this date, you may still reschedule your assigned class, however you will be charged a mandatory rescheduling fee. There will be no exceptions granted.

If you missed your scheduled class, it is imperative that you reschedule immediately. You will be charged the full tuition of $69 to reschedule a missed class. Traffic Safety School must be completed a minimum of 10 business days prior to the end of your court supervision period.

Available coursees include: 4-Hour Driver Safety Course (Classroom or Online), 4-Hour Classroom Youth Driver Safety Course: Alive at 25 and 8-Hour Classroom Driver Safety Course: Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving.

How Tickets are Processed

How Tickets are Processed

When you receive a ticket in Cook County, complete the Traffic Safety School registration form included with your packet and send it and the appropriate fees to the Court. When the Court has received your ticket payment, it will post your fees.

Completion of Cook County Traffic Safety School

Students must successfully complete the assigned TSS in its entirety to receive an original certificate of completion from Traffic Safety School. You do not need to appear in court unless otherwise directed by a judge.
