For Participants in the Delaware Municipal Court Traffic Safety Program

The National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course meets the Traffic Safety Program requirement for drivers authorized by the Delaware Municipal Court. This option could lead to the dismissal of certain traffic tickets.

Approved Defensive Driving Course Program for Delaware Ohio Traffic Safety Program

Defendants charged with a waiverable traffic offenses (that is, persons charged with offenses for which a fine may be paid in lieu of a personal appearance at the court) may participate in the court’s traffic safety program if they have not previously participated in that program or if at least four years have passed since they have participated in that program. If you hold a “Class A” or CDL license you are not eligible to participate in this program. The Defensive Driving Course uses state-of-the-art animation, sound and graphics in an engaging, interactive learning environment where students analyze real driving situations, spot driving hazards and identify and execute the correct defenses.
